Cloyne Commission for Liturgical Formation works for an enhanced celebration of the Church’s Liturgy, according to the norms and laws of liturgical worship.
An enhanced celebration of the Church’s Liturgy amounts to the more dignified public worship of God that better nourishes and shapes daily Christian life.
This Commission puts particular emphasis on the celebration of Sunday’s Eucharist. Celebrate Sunday’s Eucharist well, as the Church prescribes, and the pattern for life-giving worship is established for all other celebrations of the Liturgy: e.g. the Rite of Marriage, the Funeral Rites for the Dead, The Rites of Baptism, Confirmation and First Eucharist, or the Liturgy of the Hours.
Where formation is implemented and sustained regarding pivotal parts of public worship; such as, the Liturgy of the Word, liturgical music, and the place of worship – a truly divine encounter is fostered - a transforming experience occurs.
Cloyne Commission for Liturgical
Formation is committed to serving the work of liturgical
formation.
When the Liturgy is celebrated, it is the duty of pastors: to ensure that the faithful take part, fully aware of what they are doing, actively engaged in the rite, and enriched by its effects’.
